We’re currently tallying and verifying all votes from the Semi-Final Round to ensure every pet gets the credit they deserve.

Here’s what’s happening behind the scenes:

  • 20% of each pet’s total votes will carry over to the Semi-Finals
  • The top 3 vote-getters in each group will receive bonus votes:
    • 1st place: +200 votes
    • 2nd place: +100 votes
    • 3rd place: +50 votes

We’re in the Grand Final Round of Virginia Living’s Cutest Pet Photo Contest, and the fur is flying!

They’ve stolen hearts (and plenty of votes), but it’s still anyone’s game! Voting ends April 17, and this round decides it all—from the custom, faux Virginia Living cover to a highlight in our May/June issue to the Richmond SPCA prize pack and more.

You get one free vote a day, and bonus votes bring an extra tail wag—plus, a portion of proceeds benefits the Richmond SPCA.

Virginia Living's Cutest Pet Photo Contest spotlights Virginia's most paw-some companions in four categories:
  • Top Dog
  • Coolest Cat
  • Farm Friend
  • Adorable Other
Prizes:

One winner from each category will be featured in the May/June issue of Virginia Living, the highest quality, most widely read magazine in the state. Winners will also receive:

  • A custom Virginia Living faux cover starring their pet
  • An exciting prize package from the Richmond SPCA
  • New! For our Top Dog and Coolest Cat winners: A handcrafted stoneware pet bowl from Emerson Creek Pottery, a Made in Virginia 2023 Award winner, featuring a customizable paw print pattern

Coolest Cat Bonus Prize: The Coolest Cat will also receive two tickets to the Virginia Cat Festival and special recognition at the event in Williamsburg this November.
